Pricing Details
• Add 5% GST to prices. Payment is by cash or cheque only. We do not accept credit cards.
• Contract discount of 10% is available for bookings
of 3 or more ads (except classifieds) in any N&M newsletter.
• Complex
ads may incur additional production fees.
• All ads must be paid
for at time of booking.
• Ad bookings are subject to availibility;
ad rates are subject to change.
Preferred
Formats for Submission
Editorial
A Word document with minimal formatting and few fonts is preferred.
Any accompanying graphics, such as photos, are best submitted separately
in their original form (ie. as a jpeg or tiff, and not embedded inside a
Word document). Please remember to include a photo or illustration cutline
if necessary.
Ads
If we are building the ad, please submit any graphics (eg. logos
or photos) in their original format (eg. jpeg, color or b&w), and not
embedded inside a Word document. A fax of the general layout, if you have
one, is often helpful.
The preferred format for camera-ready ads is a vector file (Illustrator
.ai or .eps file, or equivalent), with all the fonts outlined, with linked
graphics and photos included. Files built to the correct ad size print best:
any substantial enlarging or shrinking (ie. 10% or more) will result in
poor reproduction of photos, etc. Please make document size equal to the finished ad size.
PDFs often work well, but we have experienced some problems with
linked documents or graphics with clipping paths. Again, please
outline all fonts so we can troubleshoot if necessary. If the file
is quite complicated, a faxed copy of the ad will give us something
to proof the file against. High resolution (300 dpi or higher)
jpgs are acceptable, but we find text reproduction is clearer with
vector files (ie. Illustrator ai or eps). Please ensure jpgs are grayscale.
